Take a Hike
There are two notable hiking trails in Chester. Nestled in Chester's 550-acre Town Forest, the Lost Mine Trail is a 2-mile loop trail crossing hardwood groves, mossy streams, and a historic mine. On the east side of town, by Green Mountain Union High School, the Green Mountain trail is a 1.8 mile trail that includes views of the South Branch Williams River.
